The Cherry Blossom Forest (夜桜と灯篭 Yozakura to Tōrō?, literally Cherry Blossoms and Lanterns at Night) is a stage found in the video game Samurai Shodown III. During Arcade play Haohmaru faces the player. Players can battle in this scenario when a New Challenger chooses Haohmaru in Versus mode. A re-drawn version of this stage can be found in the sequel game, Samurai Shodown IV.
Description[]
The battle unfolds under the black sky of the night. The ground is partially covered with cherry blossoms, which falls from the Sakura trees (さくら) that are found around the stage. In the near front there are four tall lighted tōrō lanterns (灯籠), which can be cut with Slash attacks (if two lanterns are cutting-off, the rest appears cut too). More lighted lanterns are located in many places of the stage. Far in the back can be seen green tones, which give a fog effect typical from the midnight.
During the climatix moment of the battle a cherry blossom rain begins, the ground takes pink tones, far in the ground it can be seen wave animations, there is a purple vacuum and a black sky. Up in the stage there is a pair of Sakura branches which cherry blossoms are shaking with the air.

The musical theme for this stage is a song called "Alcoholic" (男酒 Otoko Sake).
